Tote Bags

My latest collection of tote bags, all are lined, they have an inside pocket and a small outside pocket, the straps are shoulder length. All are made from scrape materials, I have a hamper full of fabrics including discarded clothing. I like to use bright, colourful fabrics. The Chihuahua panel was made up for a family member who has a lovely little Chihuahua. I enjoy making these during the winter months, making several at the time until the notion leaves me again. Patchwork Tote Bags

A series of Patchwork Tote Bags I've made over the years. The first one was the Charles Bridge image, way back in 2014. Each bag was made with scraps of material, with each side of the bag being different...giving choice to what side I preferred. My favourite is the one featured with the dog chasing the dragon-fly. This was initially picked up in a charity shop, a vintage bag looking the worse for wear, exactly the type of 'find' I enjoy! Patchwork Tote Bag

First Tote Bag My first tote bag is made from fabric scraps & patchwork, very simple pattern. I decided I wanted colour and  for the bag to be lined. Was it difficult, yes! A natural sewer would have made it within a day or much less, but for myself it was a labour of three weeks! Hours of concentration, and I still didn't understand the instructions for turning the bag inside out and feeding the straps through, so ended up sewing the handles inside the completed bag.
