It took me ages to complete this art quilt, it has lain there all winter just waiting for those final finishing touches. Finally over a fresh Spring weekend, I finally found the inspiration to complete the project. It reminds me of Spring moving into Summer when again the life-force bursts forward with much noise and bright light full of colour and song. Abstract Life

This is the only abstract painting I have ever done. Although I enjoyed doing it, I kept wanting to create images. I enjoyed just working the colours, even though the temptation was to begin to build-up the shapes that began emerging. By the time I had finished, the scene had begun to take on hints of a city overlooking the ocean with tiny boats reflected in the water...or so it looked to my eye.
