Title: The Gyles, Pittenweem
Material: Acrylics
Size: 16in x 12in
Gyles House dates back to 1625, and was formerly a sea-captain’s house. Pittenweem harbour is a busy working harbour, with colourful fishing boats, fishing nets, and all the paraphernalia associated with the fishing industry. On occasions seals are seen swimming around within the harbour, presumably looking for fish from the boats. Pittenweem is one of several fishing villages nestled into the area of the East Neuk of Fife.
