Title: St. Andrews Harbour
Material: Acrylics
Size: 16in x 12in

A colourist painting of St. Andrews Harbour, looking towards the ruins. Back in time there stood Victorian tenement buildings side-by-side by the fishing cottages. At some point the tenements were replaced by modern grey concrete flats. Happily these were eventually spruced up with colour, making the whole scene more pleasing on the eye. I like the combination of the ruins, the fishing cottages, and the colourful flats. They complement each other, and show the living history of the area.
