Pittenweem holds an art festival every year. It is a vibrant, colourful event with at studios and venues open throughout the village. There is so much colour with all the flowers and bunting. This scene is taken from Cove Wynd facing onto the back of St Fillan’s Cave. St Fillans was an Irish missionary with a mission to covert the Picts to Christianity. The cave has also through time been used as a smuggler’s den, and as a prison during the witch hunts of the 17-18th centuries.
