On a trip to the Isle of May bird sanctuary recently, I finally saw Puffins for real. They are quite funny birds, awkward-looking, quite ungainly, their beaks look like they have been stuck on (quite difficult to paint!) However, quite fascinating and unusual birds, I enjoyed painting this small bird, and the trip to the Isle of May was superb.
