Buddha  With Silence comes Peace Stillness Within the Stillness A Sensual Kiss. It is raining and you can hear the pattern of the drops. You can hear it with your ears, or you can hear it out of that deep silence. If you hear it with complete silence of the mind, then the beauty of it is such that cannot be put into words or onto canvas, because that beauty is something beyond self-expression. - Jiddu Krishnamurticontinue reading →
Stained-Glass Hearts

Stained-Glass Hearts

Stained-Glass Hearts These stained-glass hearts are cheap and easy to make, and are a great way of using up scrap pieces of stained-glass. I made these Hearts for Christmas gifts, they make a nice stocking-filler  and look great hanging at a window. Step 1: Cut 2 pieces of glass to form a heart shape. Smooth off edges. Step 2: Wrap shapes with copper foil. Smooth foil around the glass. Step 3: Make a hoop with wire and place between the 2 pieces of glass. Step 4: Brush pieces with flux, then coat with…continue reading →
Mosaics

Mosaics

Mosaics I spent a whole summer making my first mosaic, I was hooked! I began looking for ‘found objects’, collecting little bits of glass found on the beach, enamelled pieces, crystals, experimenting to see what worked. It was thoroughly enjoyable, intensive, compulsive, obsessive..I would keep just adding another little piece, watching the space slowly fill..in some ways they remind me of the jigsaws I used to enjoy doing as a child, the fascination of watching an image form, a drive towards completion. Site News

Welcome to Crystal Galleries the beginning… Due to technical difficulties my site crashed and I lost all content, 3 years work gone in an instant! I felt as though I had lost a friend, a daily companion, so much work had been done. A web-site feels like a work of art, the artist works on it, builds it into their own unique creation, and to lose it felt like losing a piece of art, so personal. Best to walk away, sleep on it, which is what I did. In the morning I had…continue reading →
