SIDHE MUSE
Spirit of Peace
A guiding spirit and source of inspiration.
Where do our images come from, what part of the mind are we tuning into…is it an energy that flows through us, a channelling, a muse, a guiding spirit, who are we listening to and what does our images say to us…
Art is a collaboration between God and the artist, and the less the artist does the better. ~André Gide
Faerie Races of the Celts
In the beautiful, rugged lands of Scotland and Ireland, there once lived an ancient race, the Sidhe. These elemental beings exist still, deep within our psyche, brought alive in the telling of our myths and legends, extending their vital influence upon our imagination. For centuries, the Sidhe have been with us, living on the edge of our vision, between worlds, perhaps they await still.
My Gaelic Muse, she dances with the faeries,
An empath, compelled to inspire love, longing and desire.
Teaching the beauty and power of emotions,
That all such feeling is vital to creation.
Peace of the Sidhe…inspiring creativity,
Source of inspiration..Guiding Spirit of the Muse.
The love of my soul and spirit,
Appearing only as a vision to inspire…
The Muse bestows her gift. ~ Author Unknown.
The tales told of the Sidhe are many and varied, this is but a fragment. Some legends speak of a superhuman race quite distinct from humankind, possessed of supernatural powers of shape-shifting. They could fly, walk on water, pass between the various worlds..their portals being the ‘Thin Places’. Guardians of the Lochs, the mountains, the very land itself..eventually taking refuge within the safety of the inner earths, away from the destruction of the humankind, waiting on us to re-honour our lands.
Endless, mystic Celtic knot, no beginnings, no endings,
Timeless nature of Spirit, infinite cycle of rebirth.
Endless strands binding us together, our never-ending cycle of life,
Our personal strand interwoven into the fabric of time.
Inexorably linked with all those who join us in this life and the next,
Each loop individual..inseparable from the whole.
